In 1957 very few people had a car and a driving license and Evandro had them, so he thought to start a business trading little amount of truffles; in 1961 he found the way to can truffles and he opened the first factory in Acqualagna.

When in 1966 Acqualagna made the first edition of the Truffle Market-exhibition the Truffa family was ready to became one of the protagonist.

Our days is Maria Gabriella Truffa to continue the family tradition adding a note of original and anti-conformist touch.

From Acqualagna, Furlo up to Mount Catria and Nerone the landscape is one of the most important site in Italy for hunting and trade truffles specially because is the only place world-wide to have all the types of truffle so you can have them all the year through: each truffle in its season.

Every year the last week end of October and the first and second week end in November are dedicate to White Truffle Market-exhibition in Acqualagna where the 2/3 of the Italian production is trade.

Candigliano river, century after century, digged the Furlo Gorges one of the most natural and wild place where you can pass through a gallery which connect Acqualagna with the Matauro Valley opened by Emperor Vespasiano in 76 a.d.

Acqualagna is in a ideal position to visit Urbino (15km.), Gubbio (30 km.) Cittˆ di Castello (50 km.) S. Marino (50 km.) and is not so far from Adriatic sea (40 km).
